Lancia was quick to introduce the turbocharged 4WD Delta that conformed to Group A regulations and took the WRC (World Rally Championship) by storm. From its first year, the Delta was not only supplied to Lancia works teams but also privateers. The prestigious Jolly Club from Italy was the leading private racing team. After withdrawing from the works team, the Jolly Club became Lancia's official team in the WRC. The Jolly Club not only competed in the WRC but also in lower categories such as the ERC (European Rally Championship) and Italian Rally Championship to develop young drivers, many who went on to compete in the WRC. Sponsored by 'TOTIP' for many years, the green/orange livery was the Delta's final Group A color scheme in the WRC. This miniature model is based on the Delta HF 4WD driven by Dario Cerrato/Giuseppe Celli to victory with the Jolly Club at the ERC Targa Florio Rally in 1987. The two-tone green & orange colors flow through the body in similar fashion to the Martini color scheme. Cerrato went on to win the ERC title in the same year.
